FRAMINGHAM – Marcy Levingston Broden, longtime resident of Newport News, VA passed away on August 4, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Born September 10, 1950 in Newport News, she was the daughter of Florence and Sam Levingston who were past members of Rodef Sholom Temple in Hampton, VA. She leaves her loving husband Clark Broden, sisters Amy Garfinkel and Debra Schatzberg, stepchildren David Broden and Kris Brody, step-grandchildren Colin and Samantha Brody, niece Abby Schneider, niece Emily Garfinkel, nephew Andrew Garfinkel and grandniece Rylee Schneider as well as nephew Josh Schatzberg and grandnephew Wyatt and grandniece Willow.

Marcy was a 1972 graduate of Boston University with a BS degree in Elementary and Secondary Education with High Honors of Distinction.

She became a licensed Realtor in 1980 in MA and retired in 2016.

During her career, she was awarded many top producing awards. Her biggest career highlight was the listing of a sale of a legendary baseball player Roger Clemens’ home in Framingham. Her husband Clark joined her full time in 1997.

Marcy and Clark retired to Fort Myers, FL in 2015. Marcy’s nickname at Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club where they lived was Everyday Marcy since she played golf seven days a week.

Her record was 84 consecutive days in golf! Between her golf in MA and Florida, she recorded seven holes in one and won several golf titles with other partners at Heritage Palms.

Her funeral is this Monday August 8 at 12:30 p.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
