FRAMINGHAM – I was fortunate to serve with Margareth Shephard on Framingham’s first city council and was impressed by her commitment to her district and to the greater Framingham community. Not only is she an effective and fierce advocate for her constituents but she is also fair and great person to work with, all important attributes of a great legislator.

During her first term in office Margareth’s work with other members of the city council and the mayor’s office to demand funding to address environmental concerns in Framingham and her advocacy for accelerating sustainability initiatives and access to renewable energy are testament to her skills and drive.

In addition to her work on city council, Margareth has a history of serving in leadership roles including Commissioner on the Metrowest Commission on the Status of Women, Chair for the Boston Brazilian
American Citizen’s Council, Executive board member of the Brazilian American Center and Treasurer of
the Framingham Democratic Committee.

She is always giving back to the community while at the same time operating a successful small business in Framingham and raising a family.

We need Margareth’s leadership in the State House and I wholeheartedly endorse her campaign for state representative of the 6th Middlesex District! Please support Margareth Shepard in the September 6 Primary Election!
