FRAMINGHAM – Jane B. (Olszewski) Piacentini, 83, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Friday, August 5, 2022.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Alexander & Mary (Connors) Olszewski, and the beloved wife of the late David C. Piacentini who passed in 1990.

Raised the youngest of seven in Saxonville, Jane was a 1956 graduate of Framingham High School.

Afterwards, she met and married David and settled in Framingham to raise their children. As her kids grew older, Jane went back to work part-time for a local insurance company.

She later became the office manager at Loring Skating Arena, and eventually joined the Framingham Assessors Office retiring as office manager.

Faith and family were Jane’s beacon throughout her life. She was a devout Catholic and very active in both St. Jeremiah and then St. George’s Parish where she was awarded the distinguished Cheverus Award from the Archdiocese of Boston.

She loved supporting her children’s endeavors even into adulthood, whether volunteering for a Rotary Club function, numbering 3,500 rubber ducks for a race or just lending a hand in one of their many projects.  No matter what, she was always present for her children and grandson.

Jane enjoyed playing cards with her brother and sister-in-law and her special ladies card group.   She loved to create and was talented at crocheting, knitting, ceramics  – virtually any art and craft she set her sights on.  Homemade cakes for family birthdays were always a highlight along with her special desserts for any family occasion.  In more recent years, Jane especially enjoyed spending time at the lake taking in the beautiful views and even an occasional cruise on the pontoon boat.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Ann Kaliszewski & her husband Carl of Hopkinton, her son Andy Piacentini & his companion Stacy Curtis of Charlton, her grandson David Piacentini, siblings, John Olszewski, and Sophie Ferragamo, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her dear husband David, Jane was predeceased by her siblings, Helen Brissette, Mary Moffitt, Veronica Morse, and Bernard Olszewski.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jane’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Thursday, August 11 from 4-8 p.m.

. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 o’clock.

Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham.
