BOSTON – The National Weather Service out of Boston/Norton said a record was set today, July 24 for the heat as temperatures hit 100 degrees at Logan Airport.

The last time temperatures in Boston hit the 100 degree mark was June 30, 2021.

The previous July 24 record was 98 degrees set in 1933.

Temperatures unfortunately will still be 90 degrees or higher on Monday, July 25, so a heat advisory remains in effect.

Today marked the sixth day of this July 2022 heat wave.

However, thunderstorms and showers are likely after 1 p.m. on Monday. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Storms could bring gusts as high as 26 miles per hour.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the low 80s on Tuesday, before returning to the 90s on Wednesday again.
