FRAMINGHAM – Edvardo Gomes-Da Silva, 40 of Framingham has been charged in connection with fatally stabbing his wife, Neiriane Pereira-Da Silva, 30 of Framingham at their Taylor Street home last night, announced the District Attorney and the Framingham Police Chief today, July 18, in a joint press release issued to all media outlets at 3:53 p.m.

SOURCE was the only news outlet that posted about the stabbing Sunday night on Taylor Street, when a request was made for a medical helicopter.

At about 10:30 p.m., Framingham Police received a 9-1-1 call from a multi-family home on Taylor Street.  The caller reported that they had observed blood on the stairway to the third floor of the building and were concerned someone might be in need of assistance inside that apartment, according to police.

Upon arrival police located the victim and the defendant suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to the DA’s office.

Neiriane Pereira-Da Silva was transported to MetroWest Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, said the District Attorney.

Edvardo Gomes Da Silva was transported to a Boston area hospital where he remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, said the District Attorney.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the defendant allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before injuring himself with the knife, said a press release.

An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner today determined that Neiriane Pereira-Da Silva died as a result of multiple sharp force injuries, said a press release.
