FRAMINGHAM – Katherine L. (Mogk) Richenburg, 90, a longtime resident of Milford died Friday, July 15, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late William & Beatrice Mogk, and the beloved wife of the late Ernest A. Richenburg.

Katherine grew up in Newton. She met her future husband Ernest at the Wal-Lex in Waltham shortly after he returned from the Korean war. They married and lived in several places from Hyde Park to eventually settling in Milford to raise their children.

Katherine had a passion for antiques that began with flee markets and grew into a career of antiquing and consignments. She loved animals of any kind, and was known for always hosting parties. From birthdays to holidays, she was an amazing cook and loved having family and friends around. Anyone that came to the house was immediately family. A devout catholic, family and faith were always her priority.

Katherine is survived by her children, Gary, Wendy Costello & her husband William, and Bradley & his wife Patricia, her sister, Carol Hebert, two nieces, Suzanne Hebert and Karen Kelly, and her nephew, James Hebert.  Besides her dear husband Ernest, she was predeceased by her brother William.

Family and friends will honor and remember Katherine’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Tuesday, July 19 from 4-8 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock.

Interment will take place in MA National Cemetery at a later date.
