FRAMINGHAM – Muriel (Smalley Conner) Turner of Framingham passed on July 8,2022, just one month and one week away from her 96th birthday.

Muriel’s beloved hometown of Andover is where she enjoyed some of her happiest and most carefree days, with brother Ben and sisters Marty and Ebby.

In 1945, after the birth of her first son, Gary, the family moved to Framingham where Muriel met and married Louis Conner Jr. in 1949.

After only seven years together, Louis died in 1956 of Lymphoma Cancer, leaving their only child, Susan W Conner.

Some years later, she re-married Lewis G Turner, and they had their three children: Lewis G. Jr, Christopher A, and Jennifer L. They enjoyed 49 years together in Saxonville.

Muriel leaves behind her five children, sixteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren

Muriel loved to laugh and sing and listen to all kinds of music. She enjoyed keeping busy and especially being outdoors in all weather. A strong woman with vitality and wit, her keen sense of good humor carried her along her way, and she will live on in all our hearts.

A funeral service will be held Monday July 11 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland, with burial to follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 9:30-10:45am prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her name may be made to Carlyle House 342 Winter Street Framingham MA 01702
