ASHLAND – Brian Michael Straw, 56, died suddenly on Thursday, June 30, 2022, in his apartment in Quincy.

He was born on June 13, 1966, in Waltham.

Brian graduated from Waltham High School in 1984 and Boston College School of Business in 1988.

He was successful in his business endeavors in sales.

His last employer was Mobotix, a company located in Germany. He was in charge of the Northeast region of the USA and Canada specializing in high security products.

He is survived by his mother Janice Straw of Ashland; his three children; Matthew Straw, Olivia Straw, and Caroline Straw of Groton, his siblings; Clifford Straw and his wife Linda of Windham, and Sharon Donovan and her husband Robert of Franklin. He also leaves two nephews and a niece, Ryan Donovan and his wife Catherine of Auburn, Colin Donovan of Franklin, and Alicia Donovan of Franklin, as well as a great niece Madison Donovan, his aunt, Gail Zorn and several cousins. Brian was predeceased by his father, Clifford H. Straw.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Brian for a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland.

He will be laid to rest following the memorial service in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
