FRAMINGHAM – Here is where motorists may encounter construction in the City of Framingham this week of July 3, 2022

Construction may include City of Framingham work, MassDOT projects, gas main or water main work or other utility work, along with paving.

Work is weather permitting and schedules may change.

Central Street, Edgell Road, and Vernon Street Gas Main Replacement: Eversource Gas will replace gas main and service lines on portions of Central Street (between Edgell Road and Kellogg Street), Edgell Road (between Central and Vernon Streets), and Vernon Street (between Edgell Road and Pleasant Street). Expect moderate delays. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. 

Edmands Road Gas Main Replacement : Eversource Gas will continue replacing gas main and service lines on Edmands Road between Edgell and Garvey Roads. Expect moderate to significant delays. Edmands Road southbound traffic will be detoured onto Genardy Way, Livoli Road, and McAdams Road.

Flagg Drive Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements: Sidewalk work is slated to begin. Expect moderate impacts. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. 
 
Franklin Street, Deloss Street, Beech Street, and Brewster Road Gas Main Replacement: Eversource Gas will replace gas main and service lines on a portion of Franklin Street (between Deloss and Beech Streets), Deloss Street, Beech Street, and Brewster Road. Expect minor to moderate impacts. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. 
 
Harmony Lane Road and Sidewalk Improvements: Punch-list items. Expect minor impacts at times.
 
Loring Drive and Western Avenue Pedestrian Improvements: Sidewalk work continues. Expect minor impacts at times.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements
: Traffic signals will be installed and crews will continue relocating overhead cable wires. Expect moderate delays. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. At times, traffic will be detoured through the CVS plaza.
 
Nelson Street, Newton Place, and Forest Avenue Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements
Road and sidewalk work will continue. Expect minor to moderate impacts at times. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
 
Rt.126/Rt.9 Drainage Project – MassDOT: Drainage work will continue off-road. Sidewalk work is slated to begin along Rt.126/Concord Street. Expect minor to moderate impacts at times. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Union Avenue Roadway Improvements – MassDOT: Utility structure will continue to be adjusted on Union Ave. between Main Street and the Sudbury River Bridge. A detour will be in effect during working hours. Union Avenue southbound traffic to be detoured to Franklin Street. Northbound travel only on Union Avenue. 

Also, drainage work will continue on Union Ave. between the Sudbury River Bridge and Proctor Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern or lane shift may be in effect. 

Please seek an alternate route. Expect delays..

Wood Terrace Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements: Miscellaneous road work and final paving. Expect moderate impacts. 
 
Worcester Road/Rt. 9 East and West, Spot Water and Sewer Improvements: Sewer work will be conducted on Rt.9 East and West (between Concord Street and Caldor Road). Work will occur at night, Tuesday-Thursday, 8 PM – 5 AM. Lane closures will be in effect.
