WASHINGTON DC – Framingham resident Cynthia Blanc Preiss MacLean travelled to Washington DC in June and met with the Haitian Ambassador Bocchit Edmond.

As Mrs. Massachusetts International 2022, “we discussed my outreach for women who lost their husbands,” said the Framingham resident.

They also discussed setting up a support network for widows in Haiti.

Mrs. MacLean is the founder of Widows To Windows, and organization dedicated to working with individuals to ensure widows and suicide widows have access to the resources they need to live again.

Annually in the United States more than 45,000 people take their own lives; many of whom leave behind loved ones. One of those left behind was Cynthia, who lost her first husband to suicide in 2015.
