FRAMINGHAM – During the 2021-22 school year, the Framingham Public School District reported 4,198 total COVID cases.

It is unknown how many were students and how many staff. The district broke it out by school and not adults and youths.

Also some individuals may have had the virus more than once during the school year.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, the Framingham Public Schools had 8,824 students as of October 1, 2021 in grades Pre-K to 12.

Framingham High reported the most COVID cases during the school year with 857 or about 20% of the cases.

Walsh Middle School was a distant second with 362 cases.

Barbieri Elementary School was third with 353.

Cameron Middle School was fourth with 302 cases.

Eight schools had more than 200 reported COVID cases. They are:

  • Hemenway Elementary – 273
  • Dunning Elementary – 262
  • Potter Road Elementary – 256
  • King Elementary 244
  • Fuller Middle – 230
  • Harmony Grove Elementary – 224
  • McCarthy Elementary – 219
  • Brophy Elementary – 214

Stapleton Elementary reported 189 cases with BLOCKS preschool reporting 145 cases.

Central Office located at Farley School reported 65 cases.
