FRAMINGHAM – Adelmo R. Pontremoli, 87, lifelong resident of Framingham passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, after a period of declining health. 

He was the son of the late Edgidio and Julia (Otenti) Pontremoli and husband of the late Theresa (Matthews) Pontremoli who died in 2005. 

Adelmo served his country honorably in the Army from 1956-58. 

He worked as a civil engineer for the Town of Framingham retiring in 1985. 

He was a longtime member of the Christopher Columbus Club in Framingham, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Pontremoli is survived by his two daughters, Alicia Vainas and her husband Mark of Framingham, and Sharon Pereira and her husband Adelino of Rockland, MA, three grandchildren, Marc Branchaud and his wife Laura, Garrett Branchaud, and Shalynn Branchaud and her husband Christopher D’Angelis, two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Ayla, and many nieces and nephews.  He was brother of the late Charles, Edgidio, Norman, and Henry Pontremoli, and the late Norma Quick.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday July 12 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland, with burial to follow in Rural Cemetery in Southborough.

There are no calling hours.
