BOSTON – The Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) has declared a Level 2 – Significant Drought in the Northeast Southeast Regions.

Framingham, located in the Northeast Region of the Commonwealth, is fully supplied by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.

According to the MWRA, at this time, their system is in the Normal Operating range, and there are no mandatory water use restrictions for its users.

However, residents and businesses are asked to be mindful of their water use and conserve it whenever possible, announced the City of Framingham just after 6 p.m. today, June 21.
