FRAMINGHAM – Bethany Hill Place, a South Framingham nonprofit combining housing with educational opportunities for its 140 residents announces a new interim executive director.

The organization’s long-term Executive Director Trish Appert resigned in March after 12 years with the organization.

“We are grateful for Trish’s unwavering commitment to advance the organization’s mission to provide safe, supportive housing with educational opportunities for those in need within a climate of respect, inclusion and acceptance and thank her for dedicated leadership and service,” said Leslie Bishop, Chair of the Bethany Hill Place Board of Trustees.

Today, June 13, the organization announced Gloria Franqui as Interim Executive Director.

As a former chief executive, she has extensive experience working with nonprofits to achieve their full potential by building social relevance and improving overall effectiveness, performance and sustainability during periods of transition. She has also served as Interim Executive Director for four nonprofit organizations – New Community Services, Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy, Child Care Resource Center, and the New England Hemophilia Association.

“Gloria’s appointment as IED will ensure the important work of Bethany Hill Place continues uninterrupted during this transition,” said the organization. “Gloria will serve in this capacity for the next four to six months as the Board of Trustees conducts a search to find the new permanent Executive Director.”

“During this transition period, we are committed to finding the best individual to lead Bethany Hill Place, while maintaining a stable and effective organization for staff, residents, and the community. Established in 1994 as a response to the growing problem of family homelessness, Bethany Hill
Place is a welcoming community of neighbors where people come together to pursue their dreams
for a better future. A non-sectarian nonprofit founded and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of
Boston, the organization provides affordable, independent housing for individuals and families
combined with educational opportunities within a climate of respect and inclusion. The organization
