FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be conducting overnight construction operations at the Route 9 westbound ramps to Route 126 northbound in Framingham.

This work will result in overnight hour ramp closures on Route 9 westbound from Sunday, June 12, through Friday morning, June 17.

The ramps to and from Route 9 westbound and Beacon Street in Framingham will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday,  Wednesday, and Thursday night and the ramps will reopen the next morning by 5 a.m.

During the work traffic will be directed to follow the detours below:

  • Traffic traveling on Route 9 westbound will be directed to use the Route 30 Cochituate Road ramp.
  • Traffic traveling on Beacon Street will be directed to Fairbanks Street to the Concord Street ramp.

On Monday night, June 13, the Route 126 northbound ramp to Route 9 westbound in Framingham will be closed starting at 9 p.m. and reopening by 5 a.m. the following morning. During the work traffic will be directed to follow the detour listed below:

  • Traffic looking to access Route 9 westbound from Route 126 northbound will be directed to use the Fairbanks Street/Beacon Street ramp.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
