FRAMINGHAM – Armed Framingham Police responded to Hollis Street Sunday afternoon, June 5, but after a search of the property, no victim and no suspect was found.

Around 3:20 p.m., police “received a call that someone was shot at 403 Hollis Street,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens. “Officers responded and cleared residence. At this point we believe this was a swatting call and it is under investigation.”

Route 126, also known as Hollis Street, had traffic diverted for a while.

Ashland & Framingham residents called the news outlet about the detour.

The scanner had all unit responding to the 400 block of Hollis Street. The scanner also mentioned a staging area.

Residents in the neighborhood have seen “armed” police outside.

At one point on the scanner, police were told to “take cover.” The house where the incident is has some windows boarded up, according to the scanner.

Police searched the property floor by floor but according to the scanner, they found no victim and no suspect. Police evacuated about a handful of people out of the house.
