FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a Marlborough man outside a Brazilian bakery on Tuesday, June 1, after he threatened another man with a gun.

Marlborough resident Edward J. Spear “got into an argument with another male and threatened that he had a revolver while motioning to his sweatshirt pocket,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

Spear was located on scene by officers and placed under arrest, said Lt. Mickens.

He was not in possession of a firearm, when arrested by police, said the police spokesperson.

No one was injured.

The man arrested and the victim did not know each other, said police.

Arrested at This occurred at Pao Brasil bakery at 596 Waverley Street at 2:29 p.m. was Spear, 45, of 67 Chestnut Street of Marlborough.

He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
