ASHLAND – “Our rubbish and recycling service provider (Waste Management) is having a very difficult week. They have fallen behind on their regularly scheduled pickup routes. Some neighborhoods have been delayed up to two days,” said Town Manager Michael Herbert today, May 28.
But some residents are still awaiting trash pick up and it may not happen until Sunday, May 29.
“With that said, the majority of the entire town has been covered. They still need to finish some neighborhoods where the regularly scheduled pickup day is Friday. Waste Management will be back in town on Sunday morning to complete the week,” said Manager Herbert.

“We have many years of experience with Waste Management and overall – they have done a great job for the Town over the years. I have confidence in Waste Management. And I am confident that the issues that caused this delay is being rectified as quickly as possible. Bottom line – if your rubbish and recycling was not picked up – W/M will take care of it tomorrow,” said the Town Manager on Saturday afternoon.
