WALPOLE – The Framingham High girls tennis team travelled to Walpole Wednesday afternoon for a match against the Timberwolves of Walpole High.

The “match with Walpole was a nail biter,” said head coach Larry Wilbur.

“The match was tied 2-2, thanks to our 1st singles player Jordan Sisitsky and our 1st doubles team of Bela and Dora Fialho,” said Coach Wilbur. “The match came down to our 2nd singles player Marianne Foy.”

“After losing the 1st set, she won the 2nd set and was down 1-5 in the 3rd set,” explained Coach Wilbur. “However, Marianne stayed strong and came back to win six straight games for the set and match.  A great team effort from everyone.”

Flyers wins 3-2.
