WASHINGTON DC – A Presidential Proclamation has been issued which orders flags to fly at half-staff immediately, as a mark of respect and remembrance of the one million American lives lost to COVID-19.

Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker has ordered that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag, be flown at half-staff beginning immediately and return to full staff at sunset on Monday, May 16, 2022.


 
This order shall be implemented concurrently with the previous Commonwealth of Massachusetts half-staff order in honor of 2022 National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

This gubernatorial order applies to:

1.  The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls

2.  Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings

3.  All state military installations
