Framingham Man Arrested on Charge of Assault & Battery on A Police Officer

FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man fighting was arrested Tuesday morning, by Framingham Police.

Arrested at 10:45 a.m. was Shayne LaFrance, 43, of 93 Waushakum Street of Framingham.

He was charged with assault & battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

“An officer observed LaFrance attempting to fight another individual on the street.  Officers and others attempted to diffuse the situation but LaFrance continued yelling and threw the top of a trash barrel,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“LaFrance refused to be handcuffed or placed into the cruiser.  During the incident LaFrance kicked one of the officers,” said Lt. Mickens.

One officer suffered minor injuries, said the police spokesperson.
