FRAMINGHAM – Here is where motorists may encounter construction in the City of Framingham this week of May 8-14, 2022.

Construction may include City of Framingham work, MassDOT projects, gas main or water main work or other utility work, along with paving.

Work is weather permitting and schedules may change.

Buckminster Street Gas Main Replacement: Eversource Gas will continue replacing gas main and service lines on Buckminster Street. The road will be closed to traffic, and a detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route.
  
Bonvini Drive Road and Sidewalk Improvements: Sidewalk work continues. Expect minor impacts at times.

Carlson Road Water, Sewer, and Roadway Improvements
: Water main installation continues. Expect minor to moderate delays. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect at times. 

Citywide Water Leak Detection Survey: A City-hired contractor will place specialized listening on fire hydrants and valve boxes in the road to identify and locate water leaks. Most work will be conducted at night between 10 p.m. and 6 p.m. when traffic noise is lowest. For more information: www.FraminghamMa.gov/LeakDetection  

Edmands Road Gas Main Replacement
 : Eversource Gas will continue replacing gas main and service lines on Edmands Road between Edgell and Garvey Roads. Expect moderate to significant delays. Edmands Road southbound traffic will be detoured onto Genardy Way, Livoli Road, and McAdams Road.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements
: Conduit will be installed on Edgell Road. Overhead cables will continue to be relocated. Expect moderate delays. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. At times, traffic will be detoured through the CVS plaza.

Osmose Utility Citywide Utility Pole Inspections and Restoration – Verizon: Dig safe paint markings will be noticeable in the public right-of-way near telephone poles throughout the City for Osmose’s Citywide utility pole inspections and restoration. Residents with questions about this project should contact Osmose Utility at (770) 632-6700 or submit an inquiry form on their website.
 
Route 9/126 Drainage Project: MassDOT’s contractor will continue to work off-road near the Fairbanks Street island area. Drainage work will be conducted on the shoulder of Concord Street, Rt.126/Rt. 9 East Ramp. Expect moderate delays.  

Route 9/126 Drainage Project, Gas Main Relocation
: Eversource Gas will continue relocating its gas main on Rt. 9 East near the Rt. 126 (Concord Street) off-ramp and shoulder. Expect moderate delays at times.


 
Union Avenue Gas Main Replacemen
t:Eversource Gas will continue replacing gas main on Union Avenue near Bowditch Field. Expect moderate delays. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
 
Union Avenue Roadway Improvements – MassDOT: Drainage work will continue on Union Avenue near the Main Street and Maple Street traffic islands. Sidewalks will be excavated, and conduit will be installed. Expect moderate delays. A lane shift or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.
