FRAMINGHAM – After going down 3-0 early in the 1st quarter, the Flyers fought back to beat the Weymouth Wildcats 9-5 in Bay State Conference play yesterday, May 5.

Framingham is now 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the Bay State Conference.

“We had a rocky start but we were resilient and battled back. Good things happen when you play unselfish team lacrosse. It was an outstanding team effort but hard not to mention Justin Nichols with 5 goals, 4 of which were assisted,” said head coach AJ Mulvey.

“Joe Ferrante also had 5 points with 2 goals and 3 assists. Shea Callahan was awesome at face-offs, giving us the advantage in the possession battle (6 for 8). John Yerardi and Mason Moy assisted Callahan with great wing play,” said Mulvey.

“Kyle Patriarca might have only had 10 saves but they were very big saves at key moments of the game. He robbed a few really well-placed shots by Weymouth. A big save is a huge momentum builder.
Hats off to Weymouth. They fought hard to the very end.,” said Coach Mulvey.

Nichols scored from Tim Sullivan with 3:44 left in the first to make it 3-1 Wildcats. Weymouth would answer a minute later to make it 4-1.

Billy Neiberger would score, assisted by Noah Pearlman with 1:33 left in the 1st to make it 4-2.

Nichols scored again from Joe Ferrante on an extra man advantage goal to make it 4-3 with 9:05 left in the 2nd. Ferrante would find Sullivan with 3:51 left in the 2nd to tie it up 4-4.

With 24 seconds left in the 2nd, Justin Nichols would score unassisted, 5-4 Flyers.
