BOSTON – Eversource is proud to announce that it has received the 2022 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

It was recognized for its continued leadership in energy efficiency and commitment to the ENERGY STAR® program in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.

This is the second year won in Massachusetts, ninth year won in New Hampshire, and seventh year won in Connecticut.

The Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor bestowed by the ENERGY STAR® program. Winners are part of a distinguished group that has made a long-term commitment to fighting climate change and protecting public health through energy efficiency. They are among the nation’s leaders in driving value for the environment, the economy, and the American people. 

“Energy efficiency is the most valuable tool we have to help all customers save money and reduce their energy use,” said Eversource Executive Vice President of Customer Experience and Energy Strategy Penni Conner. “We’re proud to be recognized again this year by the EPA and DOE with the Sustained Excellence Award, and we look forward to continued collaboration with the ENERGY STAR® program, our states and communities, our small business partners, and our customers on energy efficiency initiatives that mitigate the effects of climate change.”

Eversource was awarded for its raising awareness of, and increasing demand for, ENERGY STAR® certified products and offerings. In Connecticut, several programs were recognized, including Home Energy.

Eversource will be recognized by the EPA and DOE in an all-day social media event today, May 5, 2022. Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR® partners.
