FRAMINGHAM – Sister Mary Teresa Norton, CSJ, (Sister Vida), in her 72nd year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Thursday, April 28, 2022. 

Devoted daughter of the late Patrick J. and Anne T. (Flaherty) Norton and beloved sister of the late James Norton and Noreen Kelley. 

Sister Mary Teresa is survived by her many cherished nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Clement School, Somerville; St. Joseph School, Medford; Cathedral Elementary School, Boston; St. Mary School, Dedham; St. Angela School, Mattapan; and St. Agatha School, Milton. 

Sister Mary Teresa also served as librarian at Elizabeth Seton Academy; and as secretary at Catholic Charities, South Boston.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Friday, May 6, 2022, 9:15 to 10:00 a.m.  Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick.
