SHERBORN – Cynthia (Vasil) Brown, 63, of Sherborn, died peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. 

She is survived by her beloved husband John. 

She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Carolan of Colorado Springs, CO and Nancy Vasil and her spouse Barbara Donnellan of Mashpee.  Stepmother to Scott Brown of Hyde Park, Derek Brown and his wife Lisa of Marlborough, and former daughter in-law, Amy Brown of Sudbury.  Loving Nana to Griffin, Teagan, Sydney and Braeden Brown. 

Cindy was a lifetime member of the Albanian Orthodox Church. The church was very special to Cindy. She was the choir director of St John the Baptist Albanian Church in South Boston. 

She was also active in the Albanian Archdiocese serving as comptroller for over 20 years and served as the first and only Woman Lay Chair of the Archdiocese.

Cindy’s grandchildren were very special to her, she loved them dearly and was proud of all their academic and athletic accomplishments.  She took great joy in attending all their sporting events.  As people would often say, Cindy was the glue that kept the families together.  She was the bright star in the lives of everyone she touched.

Visiting hours will be held at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, on Thursday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Cindy’s honor may be made to: The Annunciation Orthodox Church in Natick, MA or Albanian Archdiocese Student Fund.
