FRAMINGHAM – Michael H Santini, 89, a lifelong Framingham resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Constance J. Santini for 58 years.
Michael served his country proudly in the US Army Security Agency during the Korean War.
He then went on to have a 40 year career with the Town of Framingham, and he retired as a construction foreman with the highway department.
He was a bartender and a lifetime member of FOE 894 in Framingham, as well as a member of Columbus Club Inc. in Framingham. He was a long time member of the Columbus Club golf league.
He was an avid reader and golfer, and he also loved to watch all of the Boston sports teams. He could often be found in his garden – to those that knew him, his garden brought him great pleasure. Family meant the world to him, and he cherished spending time with them, and he loved traveling and playing cards with his wife Connie.
He is survived by his wife, Constance J Santini, his daughter, Diane M Cerullo and her husband Richard Cerullo of Walpole MA, and his daughter, Patricia Higgins, and her husband Kevin M Higgins of Framingham MA. He is survived by four grandchildren, Justin X Tibbert and his fiancée Shannon Kilduff, of Enfield CT, Emma Cerullo of Walpole MA, Kasey S. Higgins of Braintree MA and Nicholas Higgins of Lincoln NH. He leaves a sister, Barbara King of Framingham, MA, and his brother-in-law, Edward O’Brien and his wife Camille O’Brien of Lexington MA. He was predeceased by his son, Michael E Santini, and his sister, Theresa Mespelli, both of Framingham MA
Family and friends can gather to remember and honor Michael’s life for visiting hours at Boyle Bros Funeral Home, on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3 to 7 p.m., located at 173 Union Avenue in Framingham.
A Mass to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Saint Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street in Framingham.
Following the church service, burial will be at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove Street in Framingham.
Memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Carlyle House, 342 Winter St., Framingham MA.
