FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham has not had a position on the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Commission since Sam Wong resigned as Health Director in December of 2020.

When Wong resigned, it meant his seat was vacant on the Commission.

The former Spicer Administration never filled the vacancy in 2021.

The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Commission is comprised of one representative from each
of 26 municipalities west and northwest of Boston. The Commission serves as the governing body for the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project.

SOURCE contacted the Sisitsky Administration on when they would nominate someone for the seat this month.

“I did hear back from the EMMCC who confirmed that Framingham has a seat on this, although they have not mentioned it to ( City of Framingham Health Director)Alex (DePalo) during their regular communications.  I will speak to Alex and the mayor about potential appointees,” said Chief of Staff Susan Nicholl yesterday, April 22.
