FRAMINGHAM – Richard A. Lambert, 73, a longtime resident of Framingham died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 following a brief illness.
Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Henry A. & Dorothy I. (Conroy) Lambert, and the beloved husband of Jeanne T. Lambert.
Richard was raised and educated in Newton and was a graduate of Newton North High School. He enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served proudly during the Vietnam War.
Upon his return he worked for more than 20 years as a mechanical engineer with Ford Aerospace.
It was when he went to work for a Satellite Tracking Station in the Seychelles Islands where he met the love of his life Jeanne. They married in 1986, and settled in Framingham in 1995. He was a lover of all thing’s sports, and supported all the Boston teams. He enjoyed cooking, and was known to everyone as a “super laid back guy.”
Besides his wife Jeanne T. (Benstrong), Richard is survived by his step children, Danny Benstrong, and Jacinthe Benstrong-Twohig, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, his sisters, Judith Foster & her husband Lawrence of Marshfield, and Joyce English & her husband Paul of Lynn, his brothers, Larry & his wife Beth of Brockton, and Jimmy & his wife Tracy of Framingham, and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his step son Barry Benstrong, and his brother, Jay.
Family and friends will honor and remember Richard’s life by gathering for his funeral service in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home on Thursday morning, April 21 at 11 o’clock. Interment will take place privately.
