FRAMINGHAM – SOURCE media will be accepting up to 6 interns for its summer 2021 internship program.

SOURCE had 3 interns during this spring semester.

Journalism, photography and video internships available.

High school and college students may apply.

Internship can be for school credit but are unpaid.

SOURCE is a 24-hour digital news site launched in 2016. It is hyper local and covers local news in Framingham and MetroWest.

Interns will get real-life experience interviewing, researching, reporting, and writing. Photography and video interns will cover events and submit photos & video for publication.

Photography interns should provide own camera.

Journalism interns should have access to a camera, or at least a cell phone one.

Interns will work 8-10-12-15-20 hours per week. Some night and weekend work is required. Some work can be done remotely, but many assignments will be in-person.

Most SOURCE interns are general assignment, but internships can be focused on a specific topic like sports, politics, business, features, education, health, etc.

Interns are expected to submit 2-3 reports per week.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter, a resume, and at least 3 writing samples.

In interested in photo journalism, sent a cover letter, a resume and up to a dozen photos.

If video is your focus, submit up to 3 video reports or a 3-minute highlight reel.
