FRAMINGHAM – A man, who was in the crosswalk on Route 9, on Friday, April 1, was struck by a vehicle.

The incident happened at 8:01 p.m. at 140 Worcester Road, according to the police log. 140 Worcester Road is near Walmart in Framingham.

A motor vehicle was “taking right turn” onto Route 9 when the driver struck the pedestrian “running across the street,” explained the Framingham Police spokesperson.

 “Pedestrian was in crosswalk, but the crosswalk signal not activated,” said Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The male victim was transported to MetroWest Medical center in Framingham with injuries.

No citation was issued, said Lt. Mickens.
