FRAMINGHAM – Alice Louise (McPherson) Gassett, 92, of Framingham, passed away on March 29, 2022 after a long illness.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Evelyn (Lincoln) McPherson.

She was the wife of 67 years of the late Robert E. Gassett, Sr. until his passing in 2018.

Mrs. Gassett is survived by her 2 children: Janet Moody & her boyfriend Bob Bartlett of Millville and Robert E. Gassett, Jr. & wife Sue of Natick; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Moody) Silveira of Ludlow and Scott D. Moody of Dover Plains, NY; great grandchildren: Aiden Parker and Alexis Moody of Spencer, Triston and Benjamin Silveira of Ludlow, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter the late Anne Gassett of Natick.

Alice loved her family and was loved by many in return.

She loved her part-time job at Bowie’s Card Shop in Downtown Framing­ham, playing bingo, dancing, and trying her luck at Foxwoods.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Framingham.

Visiting hours are Tuesday April 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Avenue, Framingham.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday April 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord Street in Framingham.

Burial will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
