BOSTON – Boston College freshman Sophie Albright tied for sixth place in the high jump with two other track & field athletes at the ECAC Championships at Boston University this weekend.

The Framingham High School graduate and state champion high jumper finished in a 3-way tie for 6th place in the indoor championships track & field meet on Saturday,March 5.

She was the highest placing freshman at 1.6 meters, which is about 5.25 feet.

The winner was Patricia Mroczkowski from the University of Connecticut at 1.75 meters or about 5.75 feet.

Albright won the 2021 Massachusetts outdoor high jump title and the 2020 Massachusetts indoor high jump title. She could not compete for the indoor title in 2021, due to the pandemic. She also won the 2020 Massachusetts outdoor high jump title.
