ASHLAND – Jacquelyn Lee Correa, 75, former longtime resident of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 after a period of declining health. 

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Aileen (Bradley) Smith and grew up in Bellingham riding her beloved horses and caring for a variety of farm animals.

Jackie was the wife of the late Joseph Correa, Jr. who passed in 2015. 

She owned and operated her own beauty salon in the MetroWest area for many years. 

Jackie always had an open house to friends and family and treated her son’s classmates as if they were her own.  Her love for animals, and her flower gardens carried through her life and she was the caregiver of many pets over the years.

Mrs. Correa is survived by two sons; Mathew Correa, his wife Kate of Hopedale, and Brad Correa,  his wife Kerri. Two grandchildren; Tyler and Lillian, her twin sister Pam Thistle, brother Steven Smith and sister Deborah Smith, many cousins, beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

A private graveside burial service will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery, Hudson.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the central New England equine rescue Inc.
