1 Today is fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, the day before the start of the Lenten season in the Christian community.

2. FLYERS in action:

  • Framingham High boys basketball team will host an MIAA playoff game tonight against Haverhill High at 6:30 p.m. at the high school. Masks are required still.

3 Framingham City Council meets tonight at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building. It is a hybrid meeting, so attending can also via Zoom. Masks are still required at this time. Mayor Charlie Sisitsky is expected to attend.

4. Mayor Charlie Sisitsky will meet with members of Keep Framingham Beautiful today, along with at-large City Councilor Janet Leombruno. Last night the organization held its first-ever awards ceremony.

5. Saint Bridget School is hosting a virtual open house tonight at 6:30.
