FRAMINGHAM – Mass State Police partnered with the Framingham Housing Authority today, February 22, to teacher 14 kids water safety at Mass State Police headquarters in Framingham.

This morning, the youths attended the pool at Mass State Police and were provided swimming instruction and pool safety tips, said Framingham Housing Authority Executive Director Paul Landers.

“We are thankful for the partnership,” said Landers.

The partnership is a great opportunity, as last summer there were several drownings in Massachusetts, and this is a way to get young adults comfortable in pools and water settings.

The 14 youths were also treated to a Chick-Fil-A lunch.

Mass State Police will provide a second opportunity for youths from the Musterfields, a Framingham Housing Authority property on Thursday, said Landers.

“We are so grateful to the State Police for this opportunity for our residents,” said Landers.
