NATICK – Pastor Rev. Michael MacEwen of the Natick Catholic Community Churches announced this weekend he will be taking a leave of absence.

Pastor Mike oversee St. Patrick and St. Linus catholic church in Natick.

“I wanted to let you know that beginning next week I will be on a health leave from the parishes as I continue the fight in my cancer journey. This was not an easy decision for me after being with you for eight years but it is one that needed to be made,” wrote Father Mike on the churches’ website.

“Our parishes have achieved a great deal during these last years and I am so grateful to God for all of you. Together, Saint Linus and Saint Patrick are more than a collaborative – we are a loving, caring and faith-filled community who shine God’s love every day in a multitude of ways. And, after all, that is our greatest calling as disciples of Jesus,” wrote the Catholic Pastor.

“Please know that although I will not be physically in the parishes for a time you will remain in my prayers and in my heart. I humbly ask that you also keep me in prayer,” wrote Rev. MacEwen.
