FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man was arrested on drug trafficking and multiple motor vehicle charges at 2 a.m. yesterday, February 17.

An officer attempted a motor vehicle stop. The driver “initially failed to stop but then pulled over and ran,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

Police officers located the man and then he “resisted while being taken into custody,” said the police spokesperson.

The motor vehicle stop took place on Second Street at 1:54 a.m.

Police arrested at 2:05 a.m. Edwin Alago, 41, of 108A Beaver Park Road of Framingham.

Alago was charged with failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, stop sign/red light violation, speeding, resisting arrest and operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

“He was found in possession of over 10 grams of Fentanyl,” said Lt. Mickens.

Alago was also charged with drug trafficking Fentanyl.
