FRAMINGHAM – Five individuals were displaced in a house fire this morning on Winter Park Drive in Framingham.

Just after 7:30 a.m., Framingham Fire received a call for a house fire at 40 Winter Park Road.

Engine 1, Engine 3, Ladder 3, Rescue 1, Car 2 & Ambulance 1 responded, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

On arrival, “companies found a bedroom fire in the single family, one story home,” said the Framingham Fire Chief.

“All occupants were out of the home,” by the time firefighters arrived, he said.

“An aggressive attack by the Group 2 firefighters, quickly knocked down the fire,” said Chief Dutcher.

“There was fire damage to the bedroom and some smoke and water damage to other parts of the home.  Home was deemed uninhabitable,” said the Framingham Fire Chief.

Red Cross is working with 2 adults and 3 children to find housing, said Chief Dutcher.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters, said the Fire Chief.

Damage is estimated at $40,000, said the fire department.

Cause of the fire is still being investigated but is being ruled accidental, said Chief Dutcher.
