NATICK – June E. (Tozer) Hurst passed away at her home on Thursday February 3, 2022 at age 91 surrounded by her family.

Daughter of the late Alice Martha (Smith) and Wilfred Herman Tozer.  Beloved wife of the late Edward J. “Skip” Hurst for 65 years. 

Devoted mother of Arthur Hurst and his wife Shelley of Ashland, and Richard Hurst and his wife Robin of Natick.  Sister of William Tozer of Idaho, and the late Eleanor “Punkie” Nichols and Susan Taylor.  Survived by four grandchildren Alice Janke and her husband Andrew of Richlandtown, PA, Richi Hurst and his wife Kayla of Hopkinton, Ashley Hurst of Ashland as well as Stephanie Samrout and her husband Justin of Ashland.  Two great-grandchildren – Truman Janke and Grayson Hurst with another three on the way.

June was a 1948 graduate of Natick High School where she starred in athletics, especially as captain of the Girls’ Basketball Team. 

She worked in the Natick Town Collector’s Office for over 25 years.  

June enjoyed delivering meals to shut-ins and going to car shows, flea markets and garage sales, all with Skip as her partner and chauffeur. 

She loved her family and her many friends, always looking forward to any get-together, whether it be a large gathering or a small group.  

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
