FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High indoor track & field junior captain Sam Burgess won the mile race at the Bay State Conference championship meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston yesterday, February 9.

His time of 4:20.48 was a personal best for Burgess, who qualified for nationals.

Burgess’ time is the fifth fastest in the state this indoor season, said Coach Chris Collins.

The fastest time set in the Commonwealth this season is James Donahue at 4:09.42 minutes set on January 29, 2022.

Second place in the mile at the BSC Championship meet was David Manfredi of Weymouth in 4:24.09, a personal best. Needham’s Kyler McNatt was third.

Natick junior Ben Feldman finished 6th overall in 4:33.30 minutes, a personal best.

Natick sophomore Steven D’Alessandro was 10th overall in 4:39.28 minutes.

Framingham senior Jordan Spector finished in 15th place overall out of 25 runners. His time was 4:55.23, a personal best.
