NATICK – It is always a battle when it is Framingham vs Natick, and today’s boys ice hockey match up was no different.

The game ended in a 2-2 overtime tie at Chase Arena in Natick.

Natick got on the scoreboard first and had a 1-0 lead after the first period.

Natick took a 2-0 lead in the second period, in a game filled with penalties.

Framingham’s Davin Nichols scored in the second period to cut the lead in half, 2-1 Red Hawks.

With about three-and-a-half minutes left Noah Albright scored the tying goal for the Flyers.

A five-minute overtime was held to decide, a winner.

But more penalties, and no goals, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
