FRAMINGHAM – Fans are allowed back at Framingham High sporting events, starting today, February 2.

Last month, many of the athletic competitions limited attendance to just two guests per athlete.

“Because of the cooperation between the City of Framingham, City DPH, and the Superintendent of Schools we have been able to increase the number of participants at all home events.  Fans are required to wear masks but with the easing of restrictions we can now allow 450 people in our gym for basketball games and roughly the same amount for ice hockey games,” said Athletic Director Paul Spear.

Tonight, the boys basketball team will host Brookline High at the high school at 6:30 p.m. Masks are required.

And also tonight, the boys hockey team will host Warriors of Brookline High at Loring Arena at 7. Masks are again required.

Both girls basketball and girls hockey are on the road today.

The City of Framingham has an indoor mask order in place until the end of February, for public spaces.

“After everything the pandemic has taken it has been great to be able to ‘just play’ but the athletes are certainly excited to have support at their events,” said Spear.
