FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls ice hockey team defeated the Rockets of Needham High for the first time in 11 years, according to their head coach Casey Diana.

The Flyers scored in the final seconds to take the 2-1 victory yesterday, January 26.

“February 7th, 2011 was the last time we beat Needham,” said the Head Coach. “So long ago that I was a sophomore on the team!”

Goals were scored by sophomore Carolyn Cotta and junior Mason Puumala.

Liz Luong makes 33 saves in net for the Flyers.

Framingham is now 3-0-1 in the Bay State Conference and 5-1-2 overall.
