HOLLISTON – Rita Marie (Perry) Loscocco, 95, of Chatham, New Hampshire and a former longtime resident of Holliston, Massachusetts, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Susan (Troy) and Wilbert Perry. She was the wife of 61 years to the late Anthony Paul Loscocco.

Marie graduated with a B.A. from Boston College. She also attended Middlebury College, Assumption College, and Framingham State College, where she received various Masters Degrees in Education.

She began her teaching career in Holliston and taught French and Spanish for many years in the Framingham School System.

Marie loved her family dearly, and especially loved it when everyone would come visit in the summertime at her home on Cape Cod. She was blessed with having many lifelong friends whom she always cherished. She loved animals, especially “her” dog, Molly. Since moving to the White Mountains after the death of her husband in May, 2020, Marie loved to explore the natural beauty of the area and would always look forward to seeing the mountains, lakes, and beautiful colors. She was an avid reader and could always be found out on the deck reading.

Marie was a warm, appreciative, loving person and mother and will be deeply missed by her entire family.

Marie is survived by four children, Paul Loscocco and his wife, Ann, of Chatham, NH, Peter Loscocco and his wife, Michele, of Columbia, MD, James Loscocco and his wife, Carrie, of Holliston, and Anne Marie Benoudiba and her husband, Daniel, of Millis. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com

A funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston.

Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mary’s Parish, 8 Church St. Holliston, MA. 01746.
