FRAMINGHAM – Eileen Avers, 85 of Framingham, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Goldsheid) Cohen and beloved wife of the late Leonard “Lenny” Avers. She was the cherished and loving mother of Cheryl Safer and husband, Ted of Sharon, Maureen Beckerman and husband Doug of Franklin, and Lawrence Avers and wife Michelle of Boca Raton, FL. She was the loved and adored grandmother of Jason Safer and wife Alyssa, Jessica Dailey and husband Jonathan, Sam Avers and Jacob Avers. Eileen was also the proud great grandmother of her precious Leah Safer. Eileen was the devoted sister of Pauline Engel, and the late Marvin Cohen. In addition to her sister Polly and sister-in-law Phyllis, she is
survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Eileen was born in Framingham, where she resided for all of her 85 years. Family was her greatest joy and biggest pride.

Eileen touched many lives with her kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. She will be so missed by all who knew her.

A private funeral service will be held at Temple Beth Sholom in Framingham.

A graveside service will follow at Framingham/Natick Jewish Cemetery.
