FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district reported 357 new COVID cases this week, including 27 new cases on Friday, January 21.

The district surpassed 2,000 cases for the 2021-2022 school year this week. There is just under 10,000 students in the district.

The district is now reporting a total of 2,034 total cases this school year, as of midnight on January 22.

It is unknown if the 27 cases are all students, staff, or a combination of both. The district does not separate that number in its dashboard.

On January 10, the district reported a record, one-day high of 148 new cases, as the Omicron variant was surging. It now appears to be waning.

Last week, there were 510 cases reported in the Framingham Public Schools, which is more than 36% of all cases reported during the 2021-2022 school year.

Students and staff returned back to the classrooms on Monday, January 3, after the winter holiday vacation break.

There have been 1,438 cases in the school district since January 1, 2022, which is 71% of all cases this school year.

Today the district reported 7 new COVID cases at Framingham High and 5 new cases at Walsh Middle.

Framingham High had 55 cases this week, while Walsh had 40 cases.

Three cases were reported at the Farley administration building.

Three cases were reported at Harmony Grove Elementary, which had a total of 30 cases this week.

two cases were reported at the following schools: Brophy, King, & Potter Road.

One case each was reported at Dunning & Barbieri elementary.

Hemenway Elementary which reported 3 dozen cases this week, reported zero cases on Friday.

Framingham High School leads the school district with 521 cases, during the 2021-22 school year. There are roughly 2,400 student at the high school.

Walsh Middle School is second with 177 cases.

Cameron has had 164 cases.

Ten of the district’s schools have reported cases in the triple digits.

Farley administration building has had 37 cases.
