FRAMINGHAM –  Cynthia Blanc Preiss MacLean, 51, of Framingham, was recently crowned Mrs. Massachusetts International and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. International 2022, during the final competition in Kingsport, Tenn., July 22-23, 2022.

During her reign as Mrs. Massachusetts International, MacLean will continue to support and mentor women who are widows through her organization Widows to Widows.  The organization raises awareness about the challenges of widows and women who have lost a loved one.

“Among my many civic engagements, during my year as Mrs. Massachusetts International, I’ll use my experience as my platform of empowering widows,” said MacLean.  “Statistics show widows fall into traumatic emotional and financial situations, which can lead to substance abuse, and ultimately affect their families.  With the prestigious title of Mrs. Massachusetts International, I will continue to talk to and mentor women across the state to help them find a window of freedom, air, sunshine and light again in their lives.”

MacLean is the mother of three children and grandmother to four.  In her leisure time she enjoys her Madame MacLean blog created during the pandemic to inspire homemakers to set a lovely dinner table and to have date nights.  She also enjoys visiting museums and antiquing.

The Mrs. International Pageant is owned and operated by International Pageants, Inc., which also operates Miss International, Miss Teen International and Miss Pre-Teen International pageants.  It is the only platform-based pageant system dedicated to highlighting women’s accomplishments through community service. Mrs. International showcases married women 21-to 56 years old and features three categories of competition, including interview, evening gown and fitness wear.
