FRAMINGHAM – Celia A. (Niro) DeMauro, age 92, longtime resident of Framingham, died, January 6, 2022, at Bethany Health Care Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale DeMauro and the mother of the late Patrick DeMauro.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of Michael and Flora (Andreola) Niro.

Celia formerly worked at the Bancroft Cap Company and then at the Lantern Restaurant at Shoppers World.   

She also spent time working as a school crossing guard for the Town of Framingham.

She loved playing Bocce and was a member of the Columbus Club Bocce League.  Celia also enjoyed playing cards and bowling. 

Above all, she was a homemaker and cherished her time with family, taking care of her husband and sons and loved cooking for them and spoiling her toy poodles, CeCe and Missy.

Celia is survived by her son, Thomas DeMauro of Framingham.   

She was the mother-in-law of the late Claudia (Martinelli) DeMauro.

Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham on Friday, January 14 at 9 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
