1 A body was found in Learned Pond yesterday afternoon. No identification has been made of the adult male.

Police asked for the public’s help to find a man, 71, missing since November, earlier this week.

2. Yesterday, Adam Steiner was elected to his third term as District 3 City Councilor. He received more than 57% of the vote.

3. The Framingham Board of Health held a meeting last night to discuss a mask mandate in the City of Framingham. mayor Charlie Sisitsky attended. No vote was taken.

However, the Mayor has the authority to issue a mask mandate without the Board of Health, and depending on the City’s new COVID Cases, released today, a decision on a mask mandate could come as soon as today.

As of Friday, January 7, there is a 2-week pause on indoor, group activities.

Last week, the City announced a 90% increase in COVID cases. The City now has more than 1,700 active cases.

The City will announce the latest 7-day total later today.

5. A new Brazilian bakery opens today in Saxonville. the Brazilian Family Bakery opened at 7 a.m. today at 1617 Concord Street (Route 126). It is the 5th Brazilian Bakery in the City.
